greetings fellow internet slugs
Hello all, & welcome to my obsolete blog. Who's excited? I AM BITCHES.
Many thanks to my best friend Dalton (who is a lawyer - almost) & his encouragement to start this blog. I like his description of the specific niche it fills - "a nice gap between something I'd put in an observation journal & what would be worth texting about."
The title of the blog comes from a great poem by Sylvia Plath. I memorized it for my high school's Poetry Out Loud competition when I was either a junior or a senior. Can't remember. I should try to memorize it again, along with some other poetry maybe. Anyway, the phrase "nothing but blackberries" was on a list of phrases I was considering having chain stitched on the back of a vintage denim jacket I own. I'd still like to, if I ever manage to make any money in the next couple months.
I am writing to you from my "deep in the couch" state of depression. We're talking "I've watched all of Surviving R. Kelly plus 6 movies & am deep into Bones" depressed. This little Facebook post about Ghanese movie posters cheered me up though.
Anyway, I think that's it for me for this first post. Gonna go depression bake. Maybe that's what my next post will be about. Or maybe Bones...
